The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published today a Resolution of the General Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health, relative to the Sanitary controls to be carried out at the points of entry into Spain.

Thus, as is the case in other European countries, people from high-risk countries will be required, as of 30 December, a certificate of negative diagnostic test and, in addition, a certificate of vaccination or recovery.

Additionally, as of 1 February, 2022, vaccination certificates issued from 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccination regimen will be accepted as valid, provided that no more than 270 days have elapsed from the last dose administration date.

The Spain Travel Health (STPH) application for the control of travellers at the border will, consequently, allow people from high-risk countries to provide two certificates, one of them being a diagnosis of active infection and the other of vaccination or recovery, generating the corresponding QR code and as of 1 February, 2022, the validity period of 270 days will apply to vaccination certificates.

The lists of countries or areas at risk and high risk are published on the website of the Ministry of Health: https://www.mscbs.gob.es/ and on the SpTH website: https: // www.spth .gob.es .
