Crime increased in Murcia by 17.6 percent in 2022, according to new data from the Secretary of State for Security. This is compared to the previous year.

The report, compiled in conjunction with the National Police, the Guardia Civil and Local Police, shows that in San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier the overall crime rate increased by 21.7 percent and 18.4 percent respectively, both above the national average.

More than 68,650 criminal offences were registered in the region between January and December 2022, of which 58,741 were conventional crime, and 9,937 cybercrimes.
