A cash boost has been announced for agriculture in Alicante Province. The sub-delegate of the Government in Alicante has announced that 25 municipalities in Alicante Province will receive a total of 2.2 million euros in 2023 as part of the Program for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment.

The initiative aims to alleviate agricultural unemployment in depressed areas of the Vega Baja. The budget for the province has increased by 8.29 percent compared to the previous year to specifically aid economic recovery.

In 2022, the province received 2.1 million euros to promote agricultural employment for 25 projects and 413 people were hired.
