Cancer Care Promise

The Valencia regional president, Carlos Mazón, has said that the reduction of diagnostic waiting lists to guarantee the early detection of cancer is a priority of his government, a disease that he has defined as “enemy number one” of Valencian Health.

The president participated in the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC) in Valencia, where he highlighted the important work carried out by the entity to accompany people affected by this disease.

“If my main priority is Health, my first enemy is cancer,” said Carlos Mazón, who has offered his “personal commitment” to provide the public health system with conditions that place it “at the level of the solidarity of the people.”

Rubbish Clean Request

The Association of Friends of the Southern Alicante Wetlands (AHSA) has reported an increase in waste dumping in the area of ​​the Los Carrizales wetland in Elche and has requested that cleaning be undertaken in least nine dumping points located on the El Hondo Natural Park.

Car Theft Suspect Arrested

The Guardia Civil arrested a man for three crimes of theft from vehicles that were parked inside a garage in Calpe.
