The Valencian parliament has passed a law reducing inheritance tax to one percent for most beneficiaries, including spouses, children, grandchildren, and parents. The law applies retrospectively to inheritances and gifts received after the twenty-eighth of May, two thousand twenty-three, benefiting approximately fifteen thousand people for inheritances and five thousand people for donations. The tax reduction brings the Valencian Community in line with regions like Andalucia and Murcia and is available to all residents, including British nationals.
