Strikes by airport baggage handlers in Spain, planned for the 5th of December and the 10th of December, have been cancelled following a meeting between airport operator Aena and trade unions. The strikes were initially scheduled to coincide with two national bank holidays. The UGT union called for the strikes due to concerns over job security caused by Aena outsourcing baggage handling and alleged breaches of labour agreements by companies awarded contracts.
