The giant nativity scene in Alicante has been officially inaugurated, marking the start of the Christmas season. The nativity scene features enormous figures of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, creating a stunning display. In a bid to make Alicante the Christmas capital, the figures of the Three Wise Men are now located in front of the Alicante City Hall. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the mayor, city council members, and representatives from the community and city events. The event was filled with musical performances by the Agrupación Musical de la Sociedad Cultural Deportiva Carolinas and the Coral Alacant. The monumental nativity scene, known as ‘Sagrada Familia’, holds a Guinness World Record and first appeared in the Alicante City Hall square in 2020. The incredible figures in the nativity scene were created by the talented artist José Manuel García Esquiva, also known as ‘Pachi’.
