Airport staff unions at Valencia have announced daily two-hour strikes over the busy Easter holiday period from March 28 to April 1, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, in protest against the existing shift system to cover absent staff and the lack of a 24-hour canteen service. Unions have expressed frustration over the lack of progress on various issues after ‘many months’ of discussions with management. The strikes will impact workers employed by the airport operator Aena, though the specific effect on services has not been confirmed. Notably, on March 28 and 29, flights to London operated by Easyjet and British Airways scheduled within the strike hours could face disruptions. Additionally, Ryanair services to several European cities like Rome, Milan, Bologna, Sofia, and Wroclaw during the stoppage, as well as an incoming Ryanair flight from Dublin on Good Friday, may be affected.
