The San Miguel de Salinas council has introduced an innovative workshop aiming to educate attendees on the benefits of food waste upcycling. Conducted by Corazón Verde, the workshop is designed to teach participants how to reuse common food scraps typically discarded, turning them into valuable home products such as household cleaners, homemade cosmetics, artisan soap, herbal medicinal preparations, air fresheners, and insect repellants. The workshop, set to occur on April 10th at the Social Center from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, offers a hands-on experience where attendees will create various products using seasonal food waste and take home a sample of each concoction. Registration is open until April 8th, with options for in-person sign-up at the town hall or online registration.
