In a significant law enforcement operation at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernandez Airport, a British national was arrested on charges of intellectual property crimes and fraud. Wanted by the United States since 2021, the 31-year-old is accused of selling multimedia content without authorisation between March 2016 and November 2019, across multiple states including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California. Allegedly overseeing several television channel servers and engaging in copyright infringements, he reportedly garnered over €25.6 million through illegal activities. The man, now in custody, is facing a possible twenty-year sentence if extradited and convicted in the U.S.
