Benidorm’s efforts to establish a low emission zone (ZBE) are nearing completion, with the introduction of advanced air quality equipment and surveillance cameras already in operation. According to Francis Muñoz, Councillor for mobility, the town is not just focusing on reducing emissions but also on promoting sustainable mobility. To this end, ten additional covered, secure modules for bicycle storage have been added, featuring video surveillance and anti-theft systems. This initiative demonstrates Benidorm’s commitment to environmentally friendly transportation methods amid rising global concerns over air pollution and climate change.
