Suspected drug trafficker dies in high-speed chase and collision with Customs Surveillance Service in Barbate, Cádiz

A suspected drug trafficker has died following a high-speed boat chase and collision with a Customs Surveillance Service vessel.

The incident occurred off the coast of Caños de Meca, resulting in one fatality and one arrest.

Authorities recovered four sacks of hashish and are investigating the accident.

The deceased, a Moroccan national, suffered a cardiac arrested after being detained. An investigation into the cause of the death has been launched.
