Tenerife search for Jay Slater enters third day as concerns grow for missing teen

The search for missing British holidaymaker Jay Slater has now gone into it’s third day.

Teams are continuing their efforts to locate the 19-year-old from Lancashire who has been missing on the island of Tenerife since Monday.

In an update provided yesterday, they said they believed that the young man suffered an injury to his leg on a cactus and became disoriented.

They believe he’s without food or water, and wearing just a T-shirt and shorts.

A search involving family, rescuers, and the Guardia Civil is underway, with efforts focusing on Rural de Teno Park and surrounding areas on the west coast of Tenerife.
