Two hurt in A-31 traffic accident in Elda

Bomberos

Two people have been hurt in a traffic accident on the A-31 near Elda today. After a car veered off the road, the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium sent out personnel together with SVB and SAMU units to respond to the incident.

While one of the injured was able to escape on his own, the other had to be extricated from the car and sent to the Alicante General Hospital via medical helicopter.

Traffic in the area has been stopped by the Civil Guard to allow for the helicopter’s landing and rescue operations. The intervention was carried out by a Heavy Urban Fire Brigade (BUP), a Command and Leadership Unit (UMJ), and a Various Rescue Van (FSV). The crew consisted of three firefighters from the Elda station, a sergeant, and a corporal.

The family of a woman who passed away at Torrevieja Hospital is duped by a lawyer

Torrevieja Hospital

The trial of an Alicante lawyer accused of keeping more than 190,000 euros that he received as the legal representative of a deceased woman’s husband and children will take place on Friday, March 7th, in Section 7 of Elche of the Provincial Court of Alicante. The Ministry of Health acknowledged the amount because of a patrimonial responsibility that existed in the Torrevieja Hospital following the woman’s death.

Instead of distributing the money to the victims, the prosecution insists that the accused received a cheque with the money which he added to his own estate.

As a result, they are requesting that he be sentenced to three and a half years in prison and that he be prohibited from practicing law for five years.

Big Alicante MAFIA arrests for stealing panels and car park doors

Police National Panels

Crime in Alicante has taken a new turn. The National Police has carried out a two-phase investigation that has resulted in the mega-arrest of twelve people involved in a criminal group. Other charges against those detained include receiving stolen property and stealing.

A firm hired to do work at an industrial warehouse submitted a complaint, which sparked the start of the police operation’s initial phase. According to the document, 49 sandwich panels that were meant to be used for the assembly of ceilings and partitions were among the materials that were stolen from the premises.

In addition to these panels, which are worth over 7,000 euros, the alleged burglars from this criminal clan also took the facilities’ 3,000-euro parking lot door. The materials and items that were taken had a combined value of over 10,000 euros.

Nine men and three women, ages 20 to 54, were detained by National Police officers during the two-phase operation on suspicion of stealing, receiving stolen property, and being a member of a criminal organisation.

Two were taken into custody during the initial stages of the inquiry.

According to preliminary investigations, the criminal gang transported the stolen goods in at least three vehicles, including automobiles and vans. It appears that the transportation was done in a way that would have put other drivers in danger.

Part of the material purportedly stolen by this criminal cell was placed on a popular site for buying and selling used goods, which was the destination of the clues discovered by the National Police of Alicante officers.

Additionally, the officers found the sandwich agents and the parking lot entrance disguised in a fenced-in area in an Alicante neighbourhood. To prevent detection, the agents were covered with tarpaulins.

Two of the suspected thieves who were in possession of these materials were found and taken into custody there. The door and 39 of the stolen panels were found by the agents during the plot search and were given back to their rightful owner.

Other people arrested in Alicante include co-conspirators and thieves.
The remaining individuals implicated were identified by the National Police officers in Alicante during the second phase of the inquiry, revealing that a dozen persons had also taken part in these robberies.

The thieves and a number of accomplices who supplied the cars used to transport the stolen goods are among those caught in this round.

In addition, someone else was arrested for receiving stolen goods and posting an advertisement for them on a social media platform. He did not take part in the activities, but he did obtain the loot from the robbers.

Only one of the twelve individuals detained had no prior criminal history. The inquiry has been concluded and nine of the people who were arrested have been hauled before the Alicante Court of First Instance.
