The lads who didn’t know how to be killers caught fleeing to Alicante

Nottingham Killers

Not everyone is cut out to be a killer. It calls for prudence, cold blood, and a zero-tolerance attitude. None of these characteristics applied to Ramarni Spencer and Pharrell McLennon, two British youths who erred in committing a crime and attempted to flee to Alicante.

The two criminals were deemed dangerous for trying to kill another young man in Nottingham, even though they were only eighteen. Despite the fact that their victim was only a few meters away, they were unsuccessful in their endeavour.

The young man, who was riding an electronic bicycle on May 5th, 2024, was shot by Spencer and McLennon and barely escaped. The incident was captured on video in one of the stores.

A store employee first reported hearing what appeared to be a gunshot, which prompted police to call the police. When a retailer later discovered a damaged window, an on-scene investigation revealed that a missile was responsible for the damage.

Upon examining CCTV footage, detectives found that a group of youths had assembled at the shopping complex at approximately 3:25 p.m. In the video, two young males on an electric bike are seen drawing their weapons and shooting at another individual who is also on a bike.

According to Nottinghamshire Police Inspector Chris Berryman, the incident took place on a spring afternoon in a crowded shopping district. “Terrified onlookers sought refuge in shops, while Spencer and McLennon showed no concern for their safety,” according to him.

No pedestrians or customers were hurt in spite of the risk. “Their reckless decision to pull out firearms and fire them meant they were lucky not to cause serious injury or worse,” said the official.

Absence of escape

Both young men purchased plane tickets with the goal of hiding in Alicante and avoiding punishment following the unsuccessful burglary. But two days later, while placing an order at a Burger King in the East Midlands Airport departures area, they were taken into custody.

After identifying them as suspects, detectives planned an operation to apprehend them before they boarded their aircraft to Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández airport, which the agents documented.

The suspects were forced to confess to the crime and enter a guilty plea to possessing weapons with intent to endanger life due to the overwhelming evidence. The attack’s weapons, however, have not been located.

Both have been found guilty, and Nottinghamshire Police have released video of the criminals’ arrest and sentence. Spencer and McLennon were given a cumulative term of 23 and a half years in jail when they appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on January 24.

According to a British police spokesperson, “when officers showed up and arrested them in the departures area of the airport, it must have been a nasty shock for them.”

McLennon was given a 13-year sentence extension. He will be on probation for the next three years and in pretrial custody for the first 10.

In contrast, Spencer received a lengthy sentence of 10 and a half years. After serving the first seven and a half years in prison, he will be placed on probation for three years. Both will be housed in a juvenile prison facility to fulfil their respective sentences.

In Alicante, a motorcyclist runs over a pedestrian and a worker falls from scaffolding

SAMU Ambulance

Numerous incidents that necessitated the involvement of emergency services have occurred in the province of Alicante yesterday. The initial incident happened in Elda’s Calle Padre Manón. A call regarding a worker falling from a scaffold was received by the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) around 8.40 am. The 38-year-old victim was taken to Elda Hospital with multiple bruises after an ambulance from the Basic Life Service (SVB) was sent out almost away.

Twenty minutes later, at approximately nine in the morning, the CICU got another call, this time from Alicante’s Avenida Conde de Lumiares. A man, age 21, sustained bruising after being involved in a car-motorbike collision. After treating the victim at the scene of the accident, the Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) medical team took him to Alicante General Hospital.

The hectic day ended at 2:00 pm when a new warning was issued on a hit-and-run incident on Avenida Joan Fuster in Dénia in which a motorbike had ran over a pedestrian. According to the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre, the motorbike rider and the pedestrian were both hurt in the double accident.

The 65-year-old woman who was driven over had a fracture and a head injury, while the 16-year-old biker sustained a head injury. Due to the severity of both situations, the victims have been sent to the Dénia Hospital and are being cared for by the SVB and SAMU.

Alicante couple jailed for offering drugs to a minor in exchange for sex

Alicante

The Alicante Court sentenced a 35-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man to two and one year in prison, respectively, for the crime of corruption of children, which involves giving a kid a dose of a drug in exchange for sexually abusing her.

Following an agreement with the prosecutor’s office that eliminated a claimed criminal against public health, the two defendants confessed the facts at the start of the hearing, indicating that the trial did not need to be continued.

Both defendants were found guilty of the crime of corruption of children by the Second Section court that heard the case. They were also ordered to pay the victim 6,000 euros in joint and severally compensation.

According to the sentence, both approached the girl, who was 17 at the time, and offered to have her as the victim of the attack in exchange for a dose of an unidentified narcotic on March 29th, 2022, in Alcoy.

The penalty includes a five-year restraining order of 500 meters from the victim, six further years of supervised release, a 12-month fine for the accused at the rate of four euros per day, and a two-year prison sentence for the lady and a one-year sentence for the male.

Bulgarian money laundering network brought down

National Police Bulgarian Money Launder

In order to sell marijuana on a wide scale, they were cultivating a lot of it in an apartment in Elche and laundering the proceeds through a car wash in a Valencia town. According to sources involved in the inquiry, the National Police have dissolved the network after apprehending seven suspected members, all of whom are Bulgarian nationals.

The police started the investigation in November of last year after learning about a group of Bulgarian-born people living in the Valencia region who were heavily involved in the production and export of marijuana. The information obtained indicates that the suspects operated a business to launder the profits after exporting the narcotic via authorised transportation.

To dismantle the organisation, the General Judicial Police Station’s Illicit Vehicle Trafficking group and the Valencia Provincial Judicial Police Brigade’s Organised Crime group organised an operation.

The network’s ringleaders enjoyed a high quality of living, according to preliminary findings. According to the same sources, the trustworthy individual, who occasionally worked at the facilities, had a recent history of committing similar crimes to those being investigated. He was occasionally gone from the laundry to perform tasks associated with purchasing materials or supplies for marijuana cultivation, the agents discovered under monitoring.

As police investigations proceeded, detectives discovered that multiple scheme participants had visited a property in Elche that included “typical elements used in the cultivation of marijuana.”

130 kg of marijuana in the possession of a truck driver

Agents discovered a meeting between the suspects and a transporter at the end of last year. The transporter was travelling with a vehicle and trailer that had Bulgarian license plates. Following the interaction, they saw that they were giving directions to the truck driver, who proceeded to Castellón via the Mediterranean Motorway until being stopped by officers from the Castellón Provincial Police Station.

They looked inside the vehicle and found that the only items inside were eight cardboard cartons with about 130 kg of vacuum-packed marijuana buds. The impacts included the seizure of almost 1,000 pounds sterling.

Three searches in the province of Valencia and a fourth in Elche, where a marijuana plantation guarded by the truck driver detained in Castellón was dismantled, marked the operation’s conclusion on February 17th.

Seven persons were arrested, and the organization’s leaders were taken along with £33,000, €7,000 in cash, and five vehicles. The judicial authorities have already met with the arrested, four of whom had criminal records.
