Two people were arrested after one person was hurt by a weapon during a fight that broke out in Villena early yesterday, Saturday 8th March.

Around 00:20, a fight broke out in the municipality’s town centre in the Medio Vinalopó district.

The detainees are 21 and 22 years old. The young man was treated at the scene by the Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) ambulance medical team after they allegedly stabbed him in the side. He was later taken to the General University Hospital of Elda, where he presented with an open wound and hypovolemic shock from the trauma.

In order to determine the cause of the altercation that broke out between the injured guy and the two young men who were detained as suspected stabbing culprits, the investigation has been taken over by the territorial unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Villena.

The rise in hotel occupancy in Benidorm during the second half of February, which accounted for 42% of arrivals and was three points higher than in the first part of the month, was once again mostly due to British tourists.
