An Almoradí resident correctly predicts all six lottery numbers

Lottery

The town of Almoradí in the La Vega Baja region of Alicante was blessed with the Bonoloto draw yesterday, Tuesday, March 4th. A resident of the town correctly guessed the six numbers of the winning combination of the draw, or, to put it another way, the maximum prize that was up for grabs. This is because, unlike the La Primitiva draw, the Bonoloto does not require a guess for the complementary number in order to access the first prize.

All that is known about the winner at this time is that he validated his wager at a tobacco shop on Manuel de Torres Avenue in the municipality of Alicante. The winner will receive 372,001.42 euros and won’t have to divide the staked money with anyone else because he was the only one in Spain to properly guess all six numbers.

The following numbers make up the draw’s winning combination:

02-11-24-35-38-42 44 and Refund: 4.

Also, by matching four numbers and two suns, a San Juan de Alicante resident won 5,617.80 euros as a fourth-category winner in the ONCE Eurojackpot draw on Wednesday, March 4th.

From his point of sale on Avenida Rambla 6, Marcelo Gaztañaga Satianes, an ONCE-affiliated vendor in this town, has been fortunate. Since November 2016, Marcelo has worked as a seller at the ONCE Headquarters in Alicante.

From the design to the promotion of its social, safe, and responsible lottery, ONCE employs controls to counteract unchecked purchasing. Among other things, it specifically forbids sales to minors or credit-based purchases. By encouraging a responsible gaming policy and using the strictest evaluation and monitoring procedures established by the European Lottery Association and the World Lottery Association, the organisation upholds its obligation to the public.

According to a study, nine out of 10 items that make claims about protein are unhealthy

Supermarket Fridge

Nine out of 10 products with protein claims are unhealthy, according to a study conducted by Miguel Hernández University (UMH) in Elche.

In an analysis of the nutritional values of over 4,300 processed products of twelve different types, conducted by researcher Marta Beltrá and Ana Belén Ropero, professor of Nutrition and Food Science at the UMH, it was discovered that 13% of the products contained statements about protein, and that more than half of them had been enriched to increase the content of this nutrient. Furthermore, study showed that, despite animal protein’s more complete amino acid profile, vegetable protein was used more frequently in these products.

According to the study’s findings, 91% of goods with protein claims like “high protein” or “+ protein” are unhealthy. Three factors contribute to this: over half are heavy in fat or salt, one in four are high in saturated fats or free sugars (the “bad”), and one in five have sweeteners.

Additionally, only two-thirds of the items were fortified, despite the fact that the study indicates that foods with protein claims contain more than those without. As a result, the authors of the investigation draw the conclusion that a product with a nutritional claim about its protein content does not necessarily have a higher protein content than alternatives that do not.

However, the UMH in Elche study found that eating extra protein has two choices. One option is to choose goods with higher protein content, and the other is to consume more naturally high-protein foods like legumes and fish. Selecting the second option has the benefit of having more other nutrients, such vitamins and minerals, in these foods.

According to the study, there are some benefits to eating goods with protein claims, though, as when they are enriched, they can be a fun way for physically active people to meet their daily protein goals without consuming more calories.

Additionally, they can lower the prevalence of anorexia in these demographic groups by assisting older adults, particularly those residing in nursing homes, in increasing their protein intake.

Alicante drug dealer arrested

Alicante Drugs

As part of its efforts to combat drug trafficking, the National Police have investigated a store in a house north of Alicante that sold a variety of illegal drugs, including cocaine and heroin. As a result of the police action, a 44-year-old lady of Spanish descent has been arrested.

The officers were able to identify the resident, a middle-aged woman, after conducting multiple inspections at the house under investigation.

The suspect was the subject of several monitoring and follow-ups during the police investigation, which allowed the agents to confirm that she was responsible for delivering the drug from her residence to those who arrived to get their dosage.

The suspect was arrested as part of a police operation after it was determined that she was involved in the sale and distribution of narcotic substances and that she utilised the house to conceal the money she had gotten illegally as well as to conduct drug transactions.

After the arrest, a search of the house turned up 450 euros in bills, 229 grammes of cocaine, and 96 grammes of heroin.

The detainee is now available to the Alicante on-call court when the police proceedings are concluded.

A significant drug sales hub that served the whole northern region of Alicante has been eliminated thanks to the police operation.
