EasyJet cancels a route from Alicante-Elche airport to UK

At Alicante-Elche Airport, EasyJet is now the second-busiest airline. Last spring, the company created a base at the Alicante terminal, which helped it raise passenger numbers by 12%.
The low-cost airline will now start two new routes with southern Europe, about a year after it first opened, as part of its ongoing investments in the El Altet airport. These are flights to Athens, one of the new destinations this summer at the airport, and Naples, which will be extended to the peak season.
EasyJet has terminated its connection to one of the UK cities, even though it increased the number of flights it operates in the spring and summer by nearly two digits compared to previous year. As a result, the airline will still operate flights to Belfast, but it will only link to Belfast City and no longer fly to Belfast International Airport.
This connection, which had two weekly frequencies and will no longer be available, was one of the new ones that came with the opening of its base. On its website, EasyJet lists three flights to Belfast George Best Airport, notwithstanding the cancellation.
Only on October 26th and 30th, as well as November 2nd, will flights from Alicante be able to reach this terminal. On the first day, the flight will leave at 7.20 am and arrive at 9.25 am. On the 30th, it will depart for Belfast at 3.30 pm and land at 5.35 pm. On Sunday, November 2nd, at 7.20 am, the final flight from Alicante will depart once more.
Nevertheless, EasyJet is expanding its frequencies in addition to keeping its connection to Belfast. It will begin operating its service to Belfast International seven days a week in March. In July, it will expand to nine weekly flights, with double frequency on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In the lead-up to summer, Alicante-Elche airport will be cancelling more connections than just this one. Some airlines have announced the cancellation of flights to a number of their destinations, even though they are expanding during the busiest time of year.
Due to discrepancies in regional airport fees with AENA, Ryanair has discontinued its connection to Santander Airport. Additionally, it is discontinuing its route to Billund, Denmark’s LEGO city and one of its original routes in Alicante.
Another airline, Vueling, recently declared that it will be discontinuing services to a maximum of three locations. These are the links to Rome, Zurich, and Santiago. EasyJet, which has expanded to four weekly frequencies, will also operate the latter.

Alicante man arrested for stabbing says “the neighbourhood needs to be cleaned up”

A 24-year-old man was arrested by the National Police for the stabbing incident that occurred in the North Zone of Alicant. Like the victim, the detainee was of Moroccan descent. He admitted to carrying out the stabbing and informed the agents that “the neighbourhood needs to be cleaned up.”
Yesterday at 7:30 p.m., the incident took place on calle Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the district of Virgen del Remedio. A 39-year-old guy who had been stabbed phoned an on-duty National Police patrol. The officers asked for the presence of medical assistance when he showed them the stab wound on his abdomen.
Following an explanation of what had transpired, a second patrol also arrived at the area and began searching for the individual who had stabbed him. According to what the victim told the police, he had been fighting with someone when he reached for a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen.
The police started searching when the victim gave them information, such as the fact that the assailant had a unique tattoo on his neck. Within an hour, they found the suspect in a fast-food restaurant in the same neighbourhood.
In order to defend what had happened, the suspect admitted to carrying out the attack and told the police that “the neighbourhood needs to be cleaned up.” The officers then went ahead and arrested the guy.
With a six-centimeter abdominal wound, the injured guy was sent to Alicante General Hospital and had surgery in the emergency room.
Before appearing in court, the detainee—who already had a criminal record and had acted aggressively towards the officers—was brought to the National Police headquarters for additional investigation.

Benidorm man arrested for stealing intimate photos from a friend’s phone

A man in Benidorm was arrested by the National Police for stealing private photos from a friend’s mobile phone after a party. The 39-year-old Spanish national was taken into custody on suspicion of uncovering and disclosing secrets.
When the woman complained to the Benidorm Police Station, the police investigation started. She told the officers that an acquaintance she had thrown a party with at a house in La Nucía had accessed her cell phone without her consent in a moment of carelessness and sent private images to her phone.
Officers from the Economic and Technological Crime Group at this police station launched an investigation in response to these incidents in order to confirm the information provided and to find, apprehend, and detain the suspected offender.
After preliminary enquiries, the officers discovered that the suspect had obtained the victim’s cell phone and had used a messaging app to send two private photos of her to her own phone.
The officers also obtained a statement from a witness to the incident throughout the inquiry, which supported the victim’s complaint. The suspect was ultimately taken into custody, and the Benidorm Court of Instruction on Duty was notified of all police actions.
