Fira de Santa Llucia Fair

This is Barcelona’s oldest and best-known Christmas market, dating back to at least 1786. While the market lasts several weeks before Christmas Eve, it is named after the saint and is traditionally held on her feast day, December 13th.
Location: In front of the Barcelona Cathedral, in the Gothic Quarter.
Dates: Typically lasts from the last week of November to December 23rd.
The primary focus is on Nativity scenes and Christmas ornamentation.
Atmosphere: Hundreds of stalls, carols, street performances, and a festive vibe.

The stalls at Fira de Santa Llucia are traditionally grouped into distinct sectors
Greenery and Nativity Scenes: This sector sells the raw materials used to make a nativity scene, including moss, cork, fir trees, herbs, and hundreds of individual figurines.
Traditional Figurines: Here you can find the famous Catalan Christmas characters.
Handicrafts and Gifts: Stalls selling unique handmade crafts, jewellery, textiles, and gifts.
Stalls selling traditional Christmas instruments, such as tambourines and zambombas.
