Medio Ano Festero, Half Year Festival
The Medio Ano Festero is the official halfway point between Moorish and Christian festivities.serves as as a high-energy warm-up for the main summer fiestas, which will take place on Saturday, February 7th, and Sunday, February 8th, 2026.
12 p.m. – The lively parade begins at the Recinto Ferial (Fairgrounds), with a charanga, a boisterous brass band leading the crowd through the streets. The tradition entails stopping along the way for tapas and cana.
4pm – The Tardeo Party is located at the Melecon del Soto (the promenade along the river). This is a massive open-air party.
Live music – Performances by Captain Nemo and the Tracks
DJ Set: Music by DJ Sergio Salinas
Food/Drink: The various festival groups typically run bars serving drinks and food to help fund their summer costumes.
