While the market lasts several weeks before Christmas Eve\, it is named after the saint and is traditionally held on her feast day\, December 13th. \nLocation: In front of the Barcelona Cathedral\, in the Gothic Quarter. \nDates: Typically lasts from the last week of November to December 23rd. \nThe primary focus is on Nativity scenes and Christmas ornamentation. \nAtmosphere: Hundreds of stalls\, carols\, street performances\, and a festive vibe. \nWhat You’ll Find at the Fair\nThe stalls at Fira de Santa Llucia are traditionally grouped into distinct sectors \nGreenery and Nativity Scenes: This sector sells the raw materials used to make a nativity scene\, including moss\, cork\, fir trees\, herbs\, and hundreds of individual figurines. \nTraditional Figurines: Here you can find the famous Catalan Christmas characters. \nHandicrafts and Gifts: Stalls selling unique handmade crafts\, jewellery\, textiles\, and gifts. \nStalls selling traditional Christmas instruments\, such as tambourines and zambombas.

DESCRIPTION:The Jijona Christmas and Turron Fair is a popular annual holiday event on the Costa Blanca. It is essentially the world’s largest marketplace for turrón\, also known as nougat\, a traditional Spanish Christmas sweet. \nWhat it is: A four-day Christmas market and cultural festival showcasing the diverse range of turrón and other Christmas sweets produced in Jijona\, known as the “Nougat Capital.” \nPurpose: To highlight the city’s signature products\, turrón de Jijona (soft nougat) and turrón de Alicante (hard nougat)\, as well as other regional artisanal goods. \nKey activities and attractions: \nThe fair offers far more than just shopping.
