Former dancer, singer-songwriter, producer, and performer Anastacia Lyn Newkirk was born on September 17, 1968, in the United States. Her varied pop songs from the early 2000s were huge hits in Oceania and Europe, and she became famous for them.

Songs from her debut and second studio albums, Freak of Nature (2001) and Not That Kind (2000), including “I’m Outta Love,” “Not That Kind,” “Paid My Dues,” and “One Day In Your Life,” were popular on the charts.

Her 2004 CD Anastacia was her third studio album, and in 2006, her duet with Eros Ramazzotti, “I Belong to You (Il Ritmo della Passione)” was a continental hit. Heavy Rotation, her fourth studio album, came out in 2008 when she changed labels. It’s a Man’s World, a cover album, was out in 2012.

With the tune “Caught in the Middle” appearing on both her 2014 album Resurrection and her 2017 album Evolution, she continued to release music. Her 2023 album, Our Songs, featured English translations of songs originally recorded in Germany. You can expect to hear these and many more when Anastacia sings live in concert in Barcelona.

Following her interests in archaeology and psychology, Anastacia considered singing as a possible profession. Her career began on Club MTV, an MTV dance show.

She was in the music videos for the 1988 single “Get Up Everybody (Get Up)” and the 1989 single “Twist and Shout” by the American hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa. She began performing professionally in 1990, first as a background vocalist. In 1990, she contributed backing vocals on the album New Inside by pop singer Tiffany. The 1991 music video for Dominican singer Coro’s song “My Fallen Angel” featured her. She sang “Get Here” for the first time in 1992 on the BET TV show ComicView, which gave her her big break.
