Successful at the first job fair for people with disabilities in Torrevieja

Torrevieja Jobs Fair

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, opened the 1st Job Fair for Inclusion this morning at the Virgen de Carmen Cultural Centre. He was joined by Rosario Martínez, who is the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Economic Development and Productive Sectors, Trudy Páez, who is the Councillor for NGOs and Citizen Participation, and Domingo Paredes, who is the Councillor for Local Development and Entrepreneurship.

Nearly 500 job seekers attended the first fair, which was a huge success in terms of participation and attendance. Many organisations working together, including Labora, Amfa, Fundación Adiem, Cruz Roja, Cocemfe, Convega, and Centro de Turismo Torrevieja (CDT), as well as companies that care about creating jobs, like Carrefour, Primark, Día Leroy Merlin, Tabisam, Alannia, Casa Verde, Pepco, etc., were there.

Twenty groups from Torrevieja are putting on the show, which is put together by the Board of Entities of Torrevieja. Their goal is to help businesses find new employees and make everyone more employable. In the I Employment Fair for Inclusion, things like talks, classes, personal interviews, CV delivery, and more have been planned. The fair is planned to keep happening for a few more years.

Eduardo Dolón, the mayor of Torrevieja, praised the event’s planners for their hard work and said that this kind of event is great for job seekers and, of course, for getting everyone into the job market.
