Tourists and salt producers flock to Torrevieja, a lively coastal city in Alicante, Spain. The city, meaning “old tower,” is named after a nearby watchtower. Modern Torrevieja is noted for its gorgeous beaches, including Playa del Cura, Playa de los Locos, and La Mata, which offer water sports and services.
