The Costa Blanca has many natural wonders, but few are as breathtaking—and accessible—as the Santa Pola Skywalk, also known as the ‘Pasarela del Faro.’ This modern walkway, suspended along the cliffs near the Santa Pola lighthouse, provides breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, Tabarca Island, and, on a clear day, Benidorm.
The Santa Pola Skywalk, which opened in 2025, was designed to enhance the visitor experience near the iconic Santa Pola Lighthouse, which dates back to 1958. Perched on cliffs more than 130 meters above sea level, the steel and wood structure allows visitors to walk out over a dramatic drop, giving the impression of floating above the sea.

In recent years (2022-2024), the town of Santa Pola invested in making the sea more accessible to all visitors, building a new 225-meter eco-friendly walkway made of recycled plastic. This extension connects the parking area to the viewpoint, allowing wheelchair users, families with prams, and anyone with limited mobility to enjoy the route with ease.
This project is not only about breathtaking views; it is also a triumph of sustainability and inclusivity. The materials for the extended walkway were provided by ‘Integrados,’ a local initiative that employs people with disabilities to create long-lasting, environmentally friendly products. It exemplifies how tourism, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility can coexist.

What to expect on your visit:
- Panorama views of the Mediterranean, Tabarca Island, and even the Penon de lfact in Calpe.
- The exciting sensation of standing high above the cliffs
- There are frequent sightings of paragliders flying overhead—this is a popular launch site because of the updrafts.
- Couples can add a romantic touch by leaving ‘love locks’ on the railings, as seen on famous bridges around the world.
- Stunning sunsets bathe the cliffs in golden light.
