A man 56 years old was caught by the Guardia Civil for taking a piece of farmland in Callosa de Segura. The person in jail used the death of the owner to build a fence, a gate, and move his horse onto the land without the relatives’ permission.
The study began when the heiress told them that the plot had been changed. The officers were able to identify the alleged criminal after looking at the scene and gathering proof.
The detainee apparently asked the nearby owner for permission to get to the plot, but when the owner died, he used the opportunity to fence off the land and use it for his own gain.
The person in jail is being held on charges of theft and could get a prison sentence of six months to three years.
The Guardia Civil has stressed how important it is to report any improper land use. It was very important for the heiress to act quickly and work with the police to figure out what happened and catch the person responsible.
