Both the 82-year-old man and the 74-year-old woman, who were British and were found dead in a house in the town of San Fulgencio on Thursday, did not show any signs of violence on their bodies.
Sources say that the autopsy shows that the man’s death was natural because there were no signs of poisoning or violence. These sources also said that the man has not been fully named.
Both were found by a Red Cross team at noon last Thursday in a house in the La Marina neighbourhood.
Sources close to the case say that they were not married but were friends who lived together. Both of them had medical problems, which is why they were getting help from social services.
The bodies of the two dead people were taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Alicante to be fully identified and the cause of death to be found out.
