A delegation from the Santa Pola Nautical Club, led by its president Pascual Orts, attended as guests to showcase the organization’s project, which aims to introduce nautical activities to Santa Pola schoolchildren, taking advantage of the meeting between the municipality’s school management and Councillor for Education, Óscar Valenzuela.
In particular, primary schools have an agreement with the Nautical Club to visit their facilities and learn about the sports that are accessible to kids and teens. The goal is to formally incorporate water sports into the school’s physical education curriculum.
It should be mentioned that the club already provides this option, which is being utilised by schools from other neighbouring towns upon request. However, it is crucial to insist that the Santa Pola schools take the lead and have access to the Nautical Club’s human and technical resources in order to find future top sailors in Spain.
