With the most insane course of the year, Survivor Race: The Extreme Test arrives in Alicante

The Survivor Race obstacle course is made for people of all skill levels, from novices to those who take their training seriously. The obstacle course, which drew over 4,000 people to Alicante in 2024, is making a comeback to the city with the goal of changing your mindset and way of life.
In Survivor Race, participants can choose from three different distances and compete either individually or in a group.
Distances and categories
There will be two categories available on the first day:
HUMAN 6K: 20 difficulties over six km
HERO 10K: ten kilometres with twenty-five challenges
The following choices are available on the second day:
HUMAN 6K: 20 difficulties over six km
XPLORER 3K: a three-kilometer course with fifteen obstacles that is perfect for novices
Either you or a group of ten or more people can take part. The latter option offers a 10% registration discount to each participant.
Regardless of whether you decide to join a group or not, each registration is completed separately. Everyone just needs to sign up for the same distance and departure time in order to travel together.
Why take part?
The race organisers say that “Survivor means waking up in the morning and feeling capable of overcoming all the obstacles we encounter every day, whether alone, as a couple, with friends, or family.” Therefore, this event provides a way for personal growth and friendship in addition to being an enriching experience.
Where and when?
Prepare for the most amazing obstacle course of the year on Saturday and Sunday April 12th and 13th, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an event that guarantees excitement, difficulty, and a tonne of fun. The event’s website is currently accepting registrations for the event, which will be held on Avenida Jaime I in Alicante.
Formal training sessions
To assist you be as ready as you can and get to know the attendees, the event organisers provide official pre-race training. On the Survivor Race website (see below), you can register for Survivor Workout.
Survivor Race Volunteering
Volunteers are welcome to join up to assist with race organisation. In addition to a pack of t-shirts, caps, and backpacks, you will also get free registration to take part in a Survivor Race, as well as food, beverages, and snacks.
Although you can select your role on the registration form, your responsibilities will include setup and breakdown, participant assistance, and organisation.

69-year-old Belgian dies after falling off boat in Alicante

A Belgian tourist regrettably drowned in the marina of the Spanish city of Alicante over the weekend.
On Easter Sunday, April 20th, just before 22:30, the incident transpired. The man, who was in his sixties, was reported to have fallen from his boat, struck his head, and ultimately wound up in the water, according to eyewitnesses.
After hearing unusual sounds, a German couple on a nearby boat became aware of the incident. A body was located floating in the water after they used a torch to investigate.
The individual was retrieved by the couple, who made an attempt to revive him; however, their efforts were unsuccessful.
The victim was a frequent visitor to Alicante and was acquainted with the residents at the mooring. During the resuscitation attempt, the German couple observed that he had a distinct alcohol odour.
The man’s struggle to walk was captured on security camera footage just prior to his collapse. The police have verified that the incident was an accident.

Local man arrested for robbery in San Vicente del Raspeig

A resident of San Vicente del Raspeig has been arrested by local police officers on suspicion of burgling a residence through the use of force, violence, and intimidation. On Tuesday afternoon, April 22nd, municipal officers were informed by numerous neighbours about the purported illegal entry into a residence located on Calle JoaquÃn Blume. The perpetrator had fled through the surrounding streets.
The vicinity of the residence was searched by a patrol car that was dispatched to the area. The search resulted in the discovery of a 38-year-old individual. The suspect resisted police during a foot pursuit that culminated in his arrest near Calle Altamira. The proprietor of the residence where the incident transpired apprehended the detainee. The victim was pushed and threatened by the man under investigation, according to the report. Jewellery and other personal possessions were seized, and their owners were able to identify them.
The significance of community collaboration in the resolution of this incident has been recognised by law enforcement officials. The suspect has been transported to court for an investigation into an alleged robbery that involved violence and intimidation.

Lifeless body of missing 20-year-old found in Elche

SOS Missing Persons has disclosed the most distressing information regarding the disappearance of Stiven, a young man who has been missing for several days.
The police, family members, and friends had been searching for him since April 19th, following a complaint from his relatives who were profoundly concerned about his vulnerability as a young man.
Yesterday his body was discovered in the Pantano region, and there were no indications of violence. The autopsy results will be disclosed in order to ascertain the cause of his death.
