URGENT: 112 Emergency number out of action

The GVA Emergency Coordination Centre in Valencia is reporting that calls to the emergency 112 number may not be getting though at the moment.

If you have problems getting through to the 112 number, then they have issued an alternative number to contact them on:

963 428 000

Several communities in Spain, including Madrid, Valencia, and Aragon, are experiencing large incidents as a result of a Telefónica update that has brought the landline network down.

The difficulties began to manifest in the early hours of the morning, with one of the most major casualties being the 112 emergency lines, which had to be re-established in areas such as Valencia and Aragon.

Individual services appear to be unaffected, since they continue to work regularly, but rather those contracted by multiple companies, whose complaints have increased since they began operating in their offices.

According to Telefónica sources, the corporation is currently addressing these difficulties.
