A 65-year-old man drowned in a community pool in San Miguel de Salinas

A 65-year-old swimmer died at midday yesterday, Wednesday May 21st, after drowning in a pool in San Miguel de Salinas, Alicante.

Witnesses reported the occurrence about 12:40 p.m. at the town’s community pool.

A SAMU medical team was summoned to the scene, but could only confirm his death.

With the beautiful weather and summer approaching, there have already been a few drowning related deaths. The most recent incident involved a young man drowning in an Alborache river while swimming.
