Motorhome fire in San Juan

A motorhome caught fire on a campsite in San Juan d’Alacant, although there were no injuries recorded.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon, Thursday May 22nd, shortly before 8:00 p.m., when a motorhome caught fire and spread throughout the car park, impacting the caravans parked next to it, according to the Provincial Fire Consortium.

The firemen’ quick response kept the flames from spreading to other vehicles. A command unit from the headquarters, a heavy urban fire department, a heavy tanker fire department, a sergeant, a corporal, and six firefighters from the San Vicente fire station were called to the situation on Calle La Fonteta, across from La Font. They received assistance from the Alicante Fire Station.

The incident was declared over just before 10 p.m.
