Three individuals have been arrested by the Guardia Civil in Águilas (Murcia) for allegedly stealing a man’s savings of 1,100 euros, according to Guardia sources.
The victim was staying in the municipality with a young man who agreed to buy a high-end phone from an internet platform selling used products, according to the investigation framed in the operation ‘Zachete’.
Two individuals approached the meeting and threatened him with a giant knife before stealing his shoulder bag containing 1,100 euros and other personal stuff.
The Guardia Civil investigators focused on two criminals aged 23 and 24 from Águilas after gathering evidence. The seller has also been identified.
On the phone, another 24-year-old male agreed to commit the crime when the victim arrived for the appointment.
The operation resulted in the arrest of three men accused of robbery with violence and intimidation.
