The National Police arrested three persons in the Alicante town of Dénia—a man and two women—after uncovering a marijuana plantation in the house they were occupying. Officers also discovered items stolen from another residence, as a neighbouring resident had reported.
An owner reported missing belongings following a burglary in a rural area of Denia. An investigation led officers to a home near the affected residence, according to Superior Police Headquarters.
As a result, the officers covertly monitored the residence and identified one of the people living there illegally. They were able to obtain more evidence that verified their concerns about the residents’ potential involvement in the reported robbery.
As a result, in accordance with the court order, the home was searched, and the officers discovered items stolen from the complainant’s home, as well as numerous other items of suspected criminal origin.
However, the search turned up more than just one instance of criminal activity. Officers discovered a marijuana plantation in an annexe to the home’s garden, complete with 318 potted marijuana plants. They also uncovered an unauthorised connection to the electricity grid without a meter.
Finally, officers arrested a man and two women for alleged drug trafficking, electricity fraud, and burglary, in addition to the plantation and the unlawful products. A fourth person was identified but could not be detained because he was not present.
