The body of a 47-year-old cyclist was rescued from a ravine in the Cresta del Gallo district of Murcia early yesterday morning, Monday June 9th, according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Centre.
At 10:30 p.m., the 1-1-2 dispatcher received a call from a woman who reported that her husband had departed on his bicycle around 6:00 p.m. and had yet to return home.
Local police patrols, environmental agents, and firefighters from Murcia City Council’s Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched after providing a description of the occurrence and reporting the place where the man claimed to be heading.
At 12:25 a.m., local police reported finding the missing person at the bottom of a gully near Cresta del Gallo, prompting firefighters and an ambulance with paramedics from the 061 Emergency Department to react.
