Calp City Council launched a new round of the selection process for new officers to join the Local Police Force last week, with the goal of boosting the workforce and safeguarding the municipality’s security. The physical entrance exams were held from Monday to Wednesday, with 340 applicants in attendance, of which 175 passed.
The City Council is announcing eleven open-access seats. The City Council has given encouraging feedback on the large number of participants in this round of the process. A second part has begun, consisting of theoretical and psychological tests to finish the competitive examination procedure.
According to Guillermo Sendra, Councillor for Citizen Security, “This measure is part of the municipal government’s commitment to increasing the police force’s human resources, with the goal of continuing to offer citizens and visitors more effective and personal attention in terms of security and collaboration.” The municipality has accompanied this staff reinforcement with an increase and improvement in the material resources for this crucial professional service. This call is another step towards a safer Calp, consistent with the municipality’s strategic security and preventative strategies.
