El Altet’s infrastructure is surpassing all records by 2025, with five monthly installments already exceeding previous marks.
According to Aena, international traffic continued to dominate at Alicante airport in May, growing by 7.5% to 1,624,664 registered passengers.
Domestic travel, on the other hand, totalled 224,623 passengers, a 5% reduction from commercial traffic and the same period the previous year.
The United Kingdom continues to top the foreign market by nationality, with 637,443 travellers, followed by Germany (112,760), the Netherlands (111,597), Belgium (88,876), and France (87,450).

These results indicate that the Miguel Hernández terminal can accommodate peaks of up to 60,000 people per day, an unprecedented number. Aena points out to EL ESPAÑOL that the successful deseasonalization reflects in the extension of these flight schedules, since there are more flights during times when there was not as much traffic previously.
