According to ‘Información’, national police officers arrested a man in the municipality of Petrer (Alicante), accusing him of ten sexual assaults against women of various ages, and police sources confirmed to Europa Press that the investigation is ongoing.
The accused man approached the victims alone on the street in the early morning. He used violence and typically acted in the districts of La Frontera, Santa Cruz, and Avenida de Madrid, as well as in Parque de la Concordia and Calle Jaime Balmes in the neighbouring town of Elda.
The inquiry into these instances began in 2017, when the first cases were recorded, and the alleged sexual offender appeared to act intermittently, approaching victims from behind, obscuring his face, and departing for extended periods of time without committing fresh crimes.
