Residents of Alicante’s Plaza Manila participated in an immigration and public safety operation on Wednesday evening, June 11th, which resulted in six arrests for immigration offences and different legal claims.
Officers from the Provincial Immigration and Borders Brigade and the Prevention and Reaction Unit of the Provincial Police Station of the National Police, assisted by officers from the Citizen Assistance Group of the Northern Police Station and the Rapid Intervention Operational Group of the Alicante Local Police, conducted up to 38 identifications and inspections of hospitality establishments. These checks resulted in six arrests and three infraction reports for licence, insurance, and signage violations.
The action lasted an hour and a half and involved a traffic stop between Pintor Zuluaga Street and San Mateo and Padre Esplá junctions, affecting Alicante Metropolitan Transport lines 6, 9, 10, and 191.
The inmates were taken before the courts yesterday, Thursday June 12th.
