On Sunday, June 15th, the ‘1-1-2’ handled 59 cases relating to the San Javier air show, while the deployed medical team offered 83 medical services.
The Murcia Region’s 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Centre received 23 calls, which accounted for 59 difficulties relating to the “Aire 2025” incident. The most prevalent difficulties were health-related and traffic accidents, albeit none were especially catastrophic.
The medical team deployed during the DISACA AIRE 2025 event in San Javier received a total of 83 medical assistance requests, according to the final report from the 061 Emergency and Urgent Care Department.
The busiest time was between 12:00 and 1:59 p.m., with 36 visitors (43% of the total). The most common cases were syncope and fainting, which accounted for 40% of all visits.
In terms of gender distribution, 61.8 percent of visits were made by women and 46.2 percent by males, with individuals aged 36 to 65 being the most often attended.
Notable events include two emergency transfers to Santa LucÃa Hospital, one for a code stroke and another for a code heart attack. There was also an aviation incident, in which Military Medical Services treated a pilot on-site when a bird struck his aircraft.
The operation comprised many agencies, including 061 Murcia (8 cases), the Red Cross (8 cases), Civil Protection (14 cases), and the Military Health Service (1 case).
However, it should be emphasised that two logistical obstacles were overcome during the deployment: the relocation of a 061 station that was obstructing an evacuation route, and a power outage at the Red Cross station, which was resolved by the San Javier City Council.
Health officials praised the superb coordination of all collaborating organisations, particularly the Red Cross, Civil Protection in San Javier, Los Alcázares, and San Pedro del Pinatar, as well as the General Air Force Academy.
The operation concluded at 4:13 p.m. and was regarded as “effective and decisive” by health officials, who praised the management of all scenarios during the incident.
