The JoaquÃn Chapaprieta Municipal Institute of Culture will host the clown show Bienvenido Nasferatu (Remedios, A Grandes Males Extravagantes) by the Amoeba Teatre company as part of the first “SALpa Fuera” Street Theatre Cycle on Saturday, June 21st, at 7:00 PM, in the Siesta Park amphitheatre. All audiences can enjoy a 50-minute street theatre performance filled with absurd humour, obscurantism, farce, and truth. The performance is recommended for children aged 5 and up.
“SALpa Fuera” is a term that depicts Torrevieja’s most valuable mineral, as well as the type of fish, the salpa, which fisherman typically “pull out” of their nets after catching it and returning it to the sea.
Remedios GarcÃa invites you to the welcome and greeting of Count NASFERATU, the 13th vampiric incarnation. Of course, years of persecution guarantee a small retribution. A desperate deed by a girl (now a lady) tired of being bullied and willing to go to any length to transcend and achieve the respect she deserves. As one enlightened individual once stated, “Welcome to the theatre of life.”
Come out and enjoy the best street theatre in this unique initiative, where we can enjoy our city’s beautiful weather while witnessing excellent acts that highlight Torrevieja’s culture. Let us once again occupy the city’s squares and corners, reclaiming this as a unique and unmatched performing space in each of its iconic spots.
