A two-car accident on the CV-95 near San Miguel de Salinas on Tuesday afternoon, June 17th, injured three individuals. Firemen from the Torrevieja Provincial Fire Station Consortium, along with a SAMU unit and a Basic Life Support unit, rushed to the scene. Medical services treated a 72-year-old woman for a broken foot, a 76-year-old male for chest trauma with sternum injuries, and a 38-year-old man for several bruises. The Guardia Civil Traffic Department also responded to assist the paramedics and firefighters.
Rescue
Firefighters responded to rescue and immobilise two elderly victims who were passengers in one of the two cars involved in the accident, before stabilising them and transporting them to Torrevieja University Hospital. One of the drivers suffered a coughing fit, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and cross into the other lane on a busy route. However, the police report will establish this.

Security
During the Botà nic government, five roundabouts were built to increase the safety of this regional road, two of which were at the road’s intersection as it goes through San Miguel, for a total cost of 4.5 million euros.
The CV-95 road begins in Orihuela, where the CV-930 road ends; it serves as the Orihuela Eastern Ring Road and connects to the A-7 Alicante-Murcia motorway. The CV-95 then spans the region in a northwest-southeast direction, gradually moving away from the Segura River’s right bank and connecting the municipalities of Orihuela, Bigastro, Jacarilla, San Miguel de Salinas, and Torrevieja over a distance of 26.40 kilometres. Finally, after passing through Torrevieja’s Los Balcones residential sector, it links with the N-332 road on the southern end.
