The National Police apprehended a man for allegedly stealing from several restaurants and business establishments in Molina de Segura. The National Police said he worked at one of them for four days.
On May 17, CIMACC Room 091 alerted Citizen Security units of the National Police to a restaurant in response to an alarm that had been raised in many regions.
Officers saw a forced entry at the back door, and after reviewing security footage, the owner identified the alleged perpetrator as a former employee who had worked at the restaurant for four days.
The officers launched a search operation, which led to the location of the alleged robbery suspect. When he noticed the police presence, he ran. Officers eventually apprehended and detained him, successfully retrieving the majority of the stolen property.
The ensuing investigation by National Police officers resulted in charges for three more robberies conducted in the same town between April and May, one of which occurred in the same restaurant as the heist on the day of the arrest.
The Molina de Segura Duty Court finally hauled the detainee before it and adopted necessary preventive measures.
