A man has allegedly murdered his wife and three-year-old boy in Algemesí (Valencia). The 34-year-old male has been arrested by both the National and Local Police.
Around 6:00 a.m. today, Wednesday June 25th, police deployed 112 to a home after receiving a complaint regarding a domestic disturbance. Patrols swiftly arrived on the spot and confirmed both deaths.
The officers and medical workers attempted resuscitation manoeuvres but were unable to save their lives. We have arrested the individual as the alleged perpetrator of these crimes. The Homicide Unit of the Valencia Provincial Judicial Police Brigade has taken over the inquiry to properly elucidate the facts.
The Government Delegation against Gender Violence has stated that it is gathering information on the murder as a potential case of gender-based violence.
