The Cartagena doctor detained in May for allegedly committing two sexual assaults has been released on bail on Tuesday, June 24th.
The accused, an anaesthesiologist at Santa Lucia, paid a bail of 30,000 euros to be released from prison for one of the causes. The head of the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Cartagena released him without any precautionary measures, requiring only that he appear in court when summoned.
The judge ordered the suspect’s release from provisional arrest based on messages sent by the complainant on November 24, 2024, at 3:23 p.m. The complainant stated that he had a great time, that they needed to finish the dildos, that his prostate had been damaged, and that his anus had swollen.
“Hilarious acts”
The man who reported the doctor claimed that the accused left him at his home to continue sexual relations. After ingesting a PIPA that left him asleep, the accused forced him to drink a glass containing a substance that caused him to lose weight and lose consciousness.
According to the court document, the victim experienced “unconsented and continued sexual assault” from November 23rd, 2024 until the next day. The accused humiliated the victim by inserting his elbow into the complainant’s anus, causing injuries that necessitated multiple interventions.
The doctor’s locker was examined in both Santa LucÃa’s and its case, resulting in the discovery of various prescriptions that are currently being analysed, according to the verdict.
“Everything is a lie”
Antonio Casado Mena, the doctor’s lawyer, claims that his client was reported by two whistleblowers: one who lies more than he talks and another who says everything is a lie.
The second one is different: “I dismantled his complaint and all the nonsense and incredible stories that he explained to his lordship, to the prosecutor and to his private lawyer, leaving all his answers in evidence, question by question,” according to the attorney.
Casado Mena explains that the complainant accused his client of sexual abuse, drugging, and kicking him out of the house. However, through WhatsApp conversations, Casado Mena demonstrated that the complainant was looking forward to meeting his client again and that the client did nothing to him. The instructor issued a release order without any precautionary measures, including the withdrawal of the complainant’s passport.
