According to Guardia Civil sources, the doorman of a business in the La Granadina industrial estate in the Alicante municipality of San Isidro was shot on Tuesday night, July 1st, in an incident being probed by the Guardia Civil.
The assault occurred at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, and the 41-year-old victim is still hospitalised, according to the same sources.
To avoid jeopardising the inquiry, the Guardia Civil have so far declined to divulge additional information on the case.
This is the second incidence of this kind in the Alicante district of Vega Baja, when two young men, aged 17 and 18, were hurt by a firearm early yesterday morning in Pilar de la Horadada, according to the same reports.
According to sources from the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (Cicu), both had “injuries caused by a compressed air gun (pellet)” and were sent to Torrevieja Hospital, where “they remain hospitalised with a reserved prognosis.”
