The National Police have arrested eleven people on suspicion of theft and receiving stolen goods. They were implicated in the theft of tyres and diesel fuel from a transport company in Molina de Segura, which they later resold for a lower price. Officers collected 165 tyres and discovered 20 1,000-litre diesel tanks.
Managers of a transport company in Molina de Segura submitted a complaint alleging ongoing theft of tires and diesel.
The investigation led National Police officers to three corporate employees who worked in the workshop area and were suspected of being directly involved in the tragedy.
In addition, police were able to identify eight more people involved in the incident: four for assisting the three workers in the theft and subsequent sale, and four for receiving the stolen things.
Police accused the eleven arrested individuals of methodically and repeatedly stealing tires and diesel fuel, which they then resold at a lower price.
The police activities resulted in the recovery and confiscation of 165 truck tires and 20 1,000-litre diesel tanks. We apprehended them and handed them over to the Molina de Segura legal authorities, who immediately took the necessary precautions.
The investigation is ongoing, thus additional arrests in connection with these incidents are not excluded.
