Anything goes on the Javea shoreline, which remains in disorder for a variety of reasons. Another instance of this occurred on Sunday, July 6th, when the Javea Local Police evacuated Cala Ambolo, which had approximately 100 people there. The cove, closed for years due to the significant risk of landslides, required the officers to carry out this operation. But the crowd didn’t appear to be bothered.
All of this although, as the cops pointed out, there are multiple prohibition signs and a barrier manned by security personnel to prevent non-residents from entering. Bathers, who may have been looking for a less busy section of coast, managed to get around the control devices.
Police have requested cooperation and respect for these limits, which are “designed solely to protect everyone’s safety, since ignoring the restrictions poses a serious risk to physical integrity and possible sanctions.”
