As part of Operation Parrocha, the Guardia Civil arrested three suspects for allegedly carrying out a gunshot in the early hours of July 2nd. The incident occurred on a public street in the Torre de la Horadada neighbourhood of Pilar de la Horadada.
The event happened at a nightclub area near the shore. Five young males, aged 17 to 19, were involved in the event, and two others sustained critical gunshot wounds.
Various residences within the municipality were subject to three searches. One of the properties included a semi-automatic pistol, varied calibre ammo, and several knives.
Investigation
The Guardia Civil inspected the location as soon as the events became public. There, they discovered six shot casings and a projectile. Within less than 24 hours of the inquiry, the primary suspects and the car used in the shooting were identified. This car turned out to be a rental car. Officers were also able to corroborate the individuals’ involvement and recover the handgun.
The operation led to the investigation of five attempted homicides that resulted in significant injuries. A charge of illegal weapon possession was also brought.
The Guardia Civil appreciates the public’s cooperation, which has helped the inquiry move forward.
The Pilar de la Horadada Judicial Police Team carried out the operation, with assistance from the Guardia Civil’s Investigation Department at the Main Post. The municipality’s Local Police, the Valencia Reserve and Security Group (GRS), and the Alicante Command’s Citizen Security Unit (USECIC) all worked together. The Orihuela Investigative Court No. 2 oversaw the entire process.
