The most extensive police deployment to date will be present during the August festivities. Throughout the festivities, approximately 3,680 officers from the local, national, Guardia Civil, and regional police will ensure security, with a particular focus on street imbibing and sexual assaults. In fact, Jaume I Park will be closed once more this year to prevent street drinking. Additionally, all minors under the age of 16 will be required to provide a signed authorisation in order to access the area.
On these days, the police advise against driving due to the potential for traffic congestion and alcohol consumption. Instead, they suggest using public transport. A specialised vehicle will service the city centre and its surrounding areas.
Furthermore, they plan to reinforce the deployment on August 9th ahead of the Elche vs Hércules match.
